- California here I come...

- Out in The Bay with the fam and will be rocking with the homies Morse Code, Vin Sol and Fourcolorzack this Friday. Then shooting down to LA to rock on saturday night with the goodfellas Haul & Mason. Sunday I'll be DO-ING the not so secret super secret Sunday afternoon jumpoff in Hollywood. You never know what's gonna happen there. Then Sunday night at LAX to celebrate the homie Fashen's birthday, along with Aoki, Mike B and hopefully maybe AM if he's feeling better. He's still in all our thoughts of course.

Back in Philly, I can't believe I'm fucking missing this. Philly DJ Day! Now dig this, back a couple years ago the homie Dirty South Joe and me had an idea to do a Gordon Parks styled Philly DJ photo at Armand's Records. That shit never came to fruition but this year the homie Kamau told me him and his friend Jonene were thinking of doing the same type thing. We hit them with all our contacts but they really took it to the next level. Check this lineup out: DJ AM, A Run, Aktive, Ahmir ?uestlove, Adambomb, AK, Ant Live, Ambush, Apt One, Baby DST, Bo Bliz, Emynd, Bee, Brendan Bring'em, Brother Jamar, Code $, Cash $, Cannon, Cosmo Baker, Crucut, D Square, Damage, Dennis, Dee Jay, Deep C, Diamond Kut, Dirty, Dirty South Joe, Drama, Ghetto, Rahsaan, Ran, RL, Dozia, E C la Rock, Excel, Fatcat, Frosty, Gary O, GS, Ian St. Laurant, Jay Ski, Jay Yo, Jazzy Jeff, Jazzy Joe, IES One, Joey Blanco, Josh Wink, Juice, Kenny Meez, Kevy Kev, Kinetic, Kwestion, Lee Jones, Lil Dave, Lisa Lovin, Luke Raws, Mike Nyce, Mil-matik, Miz, Nickybutters, Nigel Richards, O B 1, O'keffe, Omega, Panek, Parry P, Philadelphynz, Philly Blunt, Phsh, Randy Flash, Razor Ramon, Rich Medina, Rob Paine, Robbie Tronko, Romes, Roxy, Ryan, Sammy Slice, Sat One, Schoolly D, Sega, Sean Thomas, Skeme Richards, Sparkles, Starkey, Static, Steve Bloodbath, Kid Swift, Tactic, Tat $, The Record Player, Todd Damon, Tony 2 Teks, Too Tuff, Touch Tone, Ultra Violet, Vex, Willyum and ...Mix Master Mike a.k.a Mayor Michael Nutter!

So yeah it's going to be ill, but then the date got conflicted with the date I had to be in Cali so I'm gonna miss it, but for sure you know I'm gonna rep hard.

Okay, that's about it for now. Get at me on the LEFT COAST.

- Back at home now in BK - as much funb as I have on the road it's always great to come back home. But we did have a great time on the tour and all the cities were fun (sorry we had to skip you Houston.) Red and the crew were off the hook, and it was great to pow-wow with my family the Keystones and the homie Wildchild.

Here's an ill video of me DJing some disco breaks while Redman is on the drums.

On that note, I'm really shocked and saddened about the accident with AM and his man Travis and I'm thinking about them and hoping they make a speedy recovery. Adam is one of the strongest dudes I know so I'm truly confident that he will be alright. I know personally what it's like to have to go through some terrible shit of my own, but I cannot even fathom what that was like or what they're going through right now. but my thoughts go out to them, those that perished in the accident, and all of their families as well.

- I'm off to California this week, glad to be going, but of course on a bit of a somber note. But it's still September and it's my favorite time of year. Speaking of "September," my man John Book wrote an article about Earth, Wind & Fire and in particular about that song "September" and he quoted me in it. Check it out here.

- Oh yeah, BUMPITY-BUMP for the Raphael Saadiq mixtape. His album is now out so go cop that and then cop THIS.

 - So I'm heading back out on the road down south again for yet another Scion Metro Live tour. Make sure to check the tour dates. This time the show is featuring the one and only Redman AKA Funk Doctor Spock, and Connie Price & The Keystones. These shows are always dope, and Redman is one of my favorite rappers of all time, so I expect this run to be next level. Check out the ill trailer for the tour here.

Marking the tour, I whipped up a little mix for it. It's just a bunch of my favorite Redman songs, remixes and guest appearances. With no further hesitation, here you go!

- It seems like ages since I've dropped CD as physical product (maybe cause it has been.) But I had to come out with this jawn...

Cosmo Baker Presents "Genius: The Sound Of Raphael Saadiq"

So I was talking with my folks about doing this project (most notably The God Uncle Rey Rey) and the one word that kept coming up was "Genius." So I just had to call it that. So, in anticipation for Raphael's new album, I hooked up this mix of songs, productions, remixes, appearances, influences etc... I probably had the most fun making this mix than any other one in recent history.

While you're at it - you should really cop the album when it comes out next week.

- So The Rub killed it last night. My man Excel killed it AT The Rub last night. I've told you about Philly DJs. None can test, seen? For real though, Excel is a beast and one of my favorite DJs. I was real glad to have him up at the home base. All in all, it was a good time. Olso in the house, Helsinki in the house too (Anonymous I see you.) I got a chance to play Rusty Bryant too.

Speaking of Myspace, some dude just sent me a friend request with the message "Hail Dark Greetings from hell Luciferium War Graphics." SO ILL...
