Serato In The Mix
My homies at Serato have been asking me to do a mix for them since the very beginning – like literally the second person they asked to get a Seratocast from right after DJ Jazzy Jeff many years ago! (I’ll still get you that Seratocast guys I promise just lemme know whenever haha)
In the meantime I was asked to come by and do a quick 20 minute set for their In The Mix series that is also pretty awesome and live – I got a chance to play around with some funk and some new sounds and some cool hip-hop and other weird beats and things like that just to keep it my steez and also kinda outside the box of from a lot of other styles are. Shout out to O.P. and Dstrukt and the rest of the awesome homies at Serato! Hope you all enjoy it!
Uma Carta De Amor Para O Brasil
I was in love with the music of Brazil since I was a small child, having found records by Antônio Carlos Jobim, Astrid Gilberto and Sergio Mendes in my mother’s record collection. As I got older I dove deeper into the music of this great country, and that’s a quest for learning that won’t ever end. At this point I’ve visited Brazil many times and it’s a magical place that has always shown me a tremendous amount of love. This mix is me sending that love back in return, with a collection of modern-day takes and reworks of both classic and obscure MPB tunes, put together by some of the most talented DJs & producers from Brazil.
